Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools

System Requirements
Before you download Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools, make sure that your computer meets or exceeds the following requirements (NOTE: Disk space requirements are based on running Windows 98 with Internet Explorer 4.01. The Install Wizard will provide information on disk space requirements for your system.):

Processor:   *486/66 required, Pentium processor recommended (Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0), or

*Digital PC AXP/150 MHz (Windows NT 4.0 for DEC Alpha)

Additional Resources:   *Mouse

*Modem or Internet Connection

*CD-ROM (if installation is done from CD-ROM)

*Some components may require additional systems resources not outlined above

Operating System:   *Windows 95 or Windows 98 or

*Windows NT 4.0 (if you are running Windows NT 4.0, you must download Windows NT Service Pack 3 or higher)

Memory Requirements:   * 16MB RAM for Windows 95 or Windows 98

* 32MB RAM for Windows NT 4.0

Disk Space Required to Run Internet Explorer:   * 27MB for browser-only

* 55MB for typical installation

* 78MB for full installation

Disk Space Required for Installation*:   * 49MB for browser-only installation

* 89MB for typical installation

* 142MB for full installation

*Please note: amount of disk space required includes the setup files and the amount of space necessary to run installation.

Download sizes:   * 7.5MB for browser-only upgrade over Windows 98 with Internet Explorer 4.01

* 17.2MB for typical installation

* 29.4MB for full installation

* The Install Wizard will provide detailed information on the size of the download selected if the download is customized.

Time Required for Download*:   * Browser-only, about 56 minutes

* Standard, about 2.0 hours

* Full, about 3.0 hours

*Please note: These times are based on using a 28.8 modem. Prevailing network conditions may affect these times.
